The Perfect Piece of Heaven...!!!

Bonjour Foodies,

Today I'm gonna share with you something that holds a very special place in my heart. I made this for my boyfriend for our very first anniversary. He loved it so much.  But sadly I haven't made it since then. And we've been together for two years and six months this September. Which is such a long time and we are both so happy together.


Lemon Poppy Seed Cake

Ingredients:

1 package of yellow cake mix
1 package instant vanilla pudding mix
1/4 cup poppy seeds
4 eggs
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup canola oil
1/4 cup lemon juice

Lemon Glaze

Ingredients:

1 - 3/4 cupc confectioners sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract

Cake Directions:

1. In a large bowl, combine the first eight ingredients. Beat on low speed for 30 seconds; beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour into greased and floured fluted tube pan.

2. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan to a wire rack to cool completely.

Icing Directions:

1. In a small bowl, combine glaze ingredients until smooth; drizzle over the cake.
